When I was 12 years old, my year 6 teacher read my class a book called Wonderstruck, by Brian Selznick. The story was about a young deaf girl named Rose and her friend. Within this book were magnificent realistic portraits and other realistic artworks - features that I slowly became mesmerised by. I distinctly remember two of the artpieces - one, being of Rose.
